NUMA Group, Europe’s leading digital hospitality platform, has wrapped up an extraordinary year of growth in 2024. With operations spanning 15 countries and 36 cities, NUMA has marked its position as a unique, modern and technology-driven hospitality.
The company recorded impressive milestones, including €80 million in revenue and €50 million in Gross Operating Profit, underpinned by strategic acquisitions, new partnerships, and robust expansions across key markets.
Redefining Hospitality Through Technology
Christian Gaiser, CEO of NUMA Group, highlighted the company’s vision to reshape the hospitality industry with cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. “NUMA is enhancing the guest experience by implementing advanced technology to meet the needs of modern travellers. With over 1 million nights served and more than 100% revenue growth in 2024, we’ve demonstrated that we can scale successfully while delivering exceptional experiences,” said Gaiser. He emphasised NUMA’s focus on further mergers and acquisitions in 2025 to reinforce its leadership in hospitality innovation.
Expanding Across Europe
In 2024, NUMA achieved remarkable growth across Europe, entering new markets and expanding its footprint in existing ones. Key highlights include:
- United Kingdom: The launch of NUMA Bloom in London’s Bloomsbury district marked its entry into the UK market. This Georgian-style aparthotel blends historic charm with advanced digital guest services. The acquisition of Native Places, a leading UK lifestyle aparthotel brand, added 800 units across London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
- Southern Europe: Strategic developments in Spain and Portugal include transforming a prime property on Madrid’s Fuencarral Street into a tourist apartment complex and securing new locations in Lisbon and Málaga. Italy also experienced rapid growth with new properties in Rome, Venice, and Florence, driven by the leadership of Umberto Ottaviani, NUMA’s General Manager for Italy.
- Nordic Region: NUMA debuted in Scandinavia with a flagship property in Copenhagen’s Nørrebro district, in partnership with Invesco Real Estate.
Strategic Partnerships and Acquisitions
NUMA’s acquisition of Native Places strengthened its position in the UK market while integrating award-winning aparthotels into its portfolio. The collaboration with Native Manchester at Ducie Street Warehouse showed NUMA’s ability to merge design excellence with cutting-edge technology.
In France, NUMA partnered with Amundi Immobilier, Europe’s largest asset manager, to develop a new Grand Paris hotel near the upcoming Grand Paris Metro station. Partnerships with developers such as Ratisbona Iberia and Deka Immobilien Investment have enabled NUMA to deliver high-quality, sustainable accommodations that align with green building standards like KfW Standard 55 certifications.
AI-Driven Transformation
NUMA’s success is its proprietary AI platform, which has advanced operational efficiency and guest experiences. By automating 65% of guest communications and improving reservation processing response times by 90%, NUMA significantly reduces workloads for staff. AI-powered innovations include:
- Proactive issue resolution through review analysis.
- Streamlined room assignments for maximum flexibility.
- Plans for in-room AI assistants to curate personalised itineraries and handle bookings.
- Automated property analysis to accelerate expansion and optimise floor plans.
These AI advancements ensure exceptional guest satisfaction while establishing NUMA as the industry’s most forward-thinking player.
Leadership and Vision
NUMA’s 2024 success was supported by strategic leadership appointments, including Antonio Fragateiro as Director of Real Estate for Portugal, and Andrea Favarato and Sarah Sonntag to drive corporate sales via the “NUMA for Business” platform. The formation of a brand advisory board featuring veterans from Nike, Airbnb, and G-Star further highlights NUMA’s commitment to innovation and bold strategies.
Looking Ahead to 2025
With over €2.5 billion in assets under management and an equity ratio exceeding 60%, NUMA is primed for another year of transformative growth. The company plans to continue its focus on sustainability with green building certifications like DGNB Gold while expanding its reach in new and existing markets. NUMA’s ongoing investments in AI and modern hospitality ensure it remains at the forefront of delivering exceptional experiences for today’s travellers.
