IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence in London with a new dual-branded hotel in Waterloo. Partnering with Palm Holdings, the project includes voco London Waterloo and Hotel Indigo & Suites London Waterloo, set to open in late 2028.
voco London, Waterloo will have 182 rooms and offer a premium, stylish experience with its distinct charm. Meanwhile, Hotel Indigo & Suites London, Waterloo will be the first of its kind in Europe, featuring 172 guestrooms and suites, designed to reflect the character of the neighbourhood.
Guests will enjoy shared amenities, including restaurants, bars, cafés, a gym, and a business centre, catering to both leisure and business travellers. The hotels’ location places visitors near top attractions like The Southbank, the London Eye, and the Houses of Parliament, with Waterloo Station just a short walk away for easy transport links.
Palm Holdings aims to make the project environmentally sustainable, targeting BREEAM Excellent certification. This will include solar panels and air source heat pumps, ensuring the site runs on renewable energy without fossil fuel combustion.
CEO Sheetal Kapoor emphasised the company’s confidence in IHG’s brands, following their partnership on Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh. The focus remains on delivering exceptional guest experiences in top UK destinations.
Managing Director Ricky Kapoor highlighted the appeal of the voco and Hotel Indigo brands, known for their individuality and guest-centric approach. He believes London is the ideal market for these hotels to flourish, aiming to create locally inspired environments that resonate with modern travellers.
IHG continues to strengthen its UK presence, with 363 hotels already open and 33 more in development. This partnership with Palm Holdings, alongside their upcoming Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, highlights confidence in IHG’s diverse brand portfolio.
