Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans for Samara Lombok, a new luxury hotel in South Lombok, Indonesia, marking the debut of the Destination by Hyatt brand in Southeast Asia. Developed in partnership with PT Lombok Torok Developments, the 249-room hotel will be part of the Samara Lombok integrated development, set to open in 2027.
A Unique Luxury Destination
Spanning over 300 acres, Samara Lombok will feature two key sites—Samara Bay and Samara Hills, offering a mix of relaxation, sports, dining, and exploration. The hotel’s design will be inspired by Lombok’s lush paddy fields, made by award-winning Bali-based architects.
Guests can expect:
- A wellness village with spa and fitness facilities
- Multiple swimming pools for relaxation
- Over 10 restaurants and bars, developed with top regional chefs
- Sports amenities, including tennis and padel courts
- Marine and water sports centre
- Educational marine biology centre
- Organic farm and sustainability hub
- Beach and day clubs for a vibrant social experience
Strategic Location & Collaboration
Lombok is renowned for its untouched beaches and surf breaks, as well as Mount Rinjani, Indonesia’s second-highest volcano. The hotel, located just 25 minutes from Lombok International Airport, offers seamless accessibility for both domestic and international travellers.

Growing Hyatt’s Indonesian Portfolio
Samara Lombok will join Hyatt’s 15 existing properties in Indonesia, across brands including Alila, Andaz, Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
