Global travel platform Expedia has announced a strategic integration with Muse, Meta’s newly unveiled personal AI agent. The partnership allows U.S. travellers to discover, evaluate, and book hotel stays directly within the Meta conversational ecosystem using natural language.
The integration expands Expedia’s conversational distribution footprint, turning conversational AI interactions into direct booking channels without requiring users to leave the Meta messaging interface.
Transforming Natural Language Prompts into Completed Hotel Bookings
Traditional travel booking flows often require users to navigate complex filter systems across multiple browser tabs. Through the new Expedia integration in Muse, travellers can describe their trip requirements including specific neighbourhood preferences, travel dates, and property amenities in conversational, open-ended prose.
Using Expedia’s live supply and pricing engine, Muse processes user prompts in real time to surface curated hotel options. Users can review room rates, availability, property specs, and cancellation policies directly within the conversation. Once a property is selected, travellers can complete the entire checkout process natively within Muse, while Expedia continues to serve as the merchant of record for all transactions.
The feature is set to roll out to U.S.-based Meta users, marking a significant step in the adoption of autonomous AI agents for end-to-end travel commerce.
