Tom Mc Dermott aka “The Lean Hotelier” is the Founder & Managing Director of Agility Hospitality, a consultancy helping hotels adopt a continuous improvement culture, streamline operations, and optimise labour management.

With over 35 years’ experience in hospitality including leadership roles with Hilton, Radisson, Starwood, and Cunard, Tom has seen first-hand the hidden inefficiencies in daily hotel operations. While leading Hilton’s innovative “Operational Excellence” programme across EMEA, Tom recognised the untapped potential that is seen in other industry sectors of applying lean and continuous improvement thinking in hospitality.

Since launching Agility Hospitality in 2020, Tom has helped hotel teams achieve measurable gains in productivity, guest satisfaction, and staff engagement by simply making every day work easier and adding more value to the guest experience.
