Family-owned hospitality group Kronen Hotels has successfully scaled its operations and enhanced guest service across five properties in Norway, thanks to a strategic partnership with Mews, a cloud-based hospitality platform, and its revenue management arm, Atomize. The group has reported a 35% increase in RevPAR, 20% uplift in ADR, and 50 hours saved weekly across its portfolio since implementing the integrated tech stack.
From Legacy Systems to Well-curated Infrastructure
Faced with outdated, server-based systems and costly contracts, Kronen Hotels partnered with Innovation Norway to rebuild its digital infrastructure. The group adopted Mews as its central platform, leveraging its open API architecture to tailor tech solutions for each property, from historic wedding venues to reception-free city hotels.
“We were locked into a rigid system we couldn’t tailor to our needs. Change was necessary, and Mews delivered exactly what we needed,” said Chris Pedersen, CEO of Kronen Hotels.
Atomize Powers Smarter Revenue Decisions
To eliminate manual pricing guesswork, Kronen Hotels deployed Atomize, which automates rate recommendations using real-time market data. The result:

“Atomize turned out to be exactly the system we needed. It saves us time and helps us stay ahead of demand shifts,” Pedersen added.
Personalised Tech for Diverse Properties
Each Kronen hotel operates with a bespoke tech stack:
- Kronen Gaard uses Pxier Events for meetings and conferences
- Hotel Sverre runs reception-free with Mews Payments and Kiosk, achieving a 70% self check-out rate and a 0.006% chargeback rate
AI-Driven Guest Personalisation
Kronen Hotels is now rolling out Mews AI Smart Tips, which centralises guest data to support personalised service. Staff can access real-time insights into preferences and behaviours, enhancing storytelling and hospitality, especially at De Historiske member properties.

With seven integrations from the Mews Marketplace, including SiteMinder and BookBoost, Kronen Hotels continues to evolve its tech stack to meet changing guest expectations while maintaining operational excellence.
