IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of The Venice Times into its Vignette Collection, marking the brand’s debut in Venice and its third signing in Italy within two years. The move strengthens IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio and deepens its partnership with Pacini Group, following their successful collaboration on Garner Hotel Rome Aurelia.
A Distinctive Stay in the Heart of Venice
Located in Venice’s historic centre, The Venice Times will undergo a full rebranding by late 2025, transforming into a 30-room boutique hotel with Venetian-inspired decor, a cocktail bar, outdoor terrace, and a restaurant serving locally inspired cuisine. Guests will enjoy closeness to landmarks such as Venice Casino, Ca’ d’Oro, La Fenice Theatre, and the Grand Canal, with seamless access via Vaporetto water buses.
“Strategically positioned near the city’s main gateway, the hotel is poised to benefit from strong year-round demand,” said Willemijn Geels, VP Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts.
A Brand Built on Character and Community
Vignette Collection is IHG’s first collection brand, launched in 2021 to offer independent luxury hotels the benefits of IHG’s global systems while preserving their unique identity. Each property partners with a local philanthropic organisation and offers Memorable Rituals that connect guests to the cultural landscape.
“The rebranding represents a unique opportunity to provide guests with a truly different stay, where responsibility, community, and appreciation of the territory come together,” said Emidio Pacini, CEO of Pacini Group.
Expanding IHG’s Footprint in Italy
The Venice Times joins Hotel Indigo Venice Sant’Elena and complements IHG’s growing presence in Italy, which includes 30 open hotels across seven brands and 15 more in development.
