IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Paris – Marne-la-Vallée, a 250-room property set to open in the second half of 2026. The hotel, located in Magny-le-Hongre just ten minutes from Disneyland Paris, marks a significant addition to IHG’s growing premium leisure portfolio in France and across Europe.
The agreement, made in partnership with Danish real estate firm Proark, will see the transformation of an existing property into a modern Crowne Plaza hotel, tailored to both leisure and business travellers. The hotel will offer a comprehensive range of amenities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a wellness centre, two restaurants, a bar, and flexible social spaces. It will also feature state-of-the-art meeting facilities, including a ballroom, designed to accommodate conferences and events of various scales.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President of Development for Europe at IHG Hotels & Resorts, described the project as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” to bring one of the world’s leading premium hotel brands to a landmark leisure destination. “France continues to be a key market for IHG, and I’m proud to see our momentum in the premium segment, with over 10 properties open and pipeline in the country,” she said. Geels also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Proark, noting their shared vision and commitment to delivering strong returns and exceptional guest experiences.
Michael Brag, Chairman of Magny-le-Hongre Hotel, Proark, echoed the sentiment, stating: “This project marks an exciting new chapter for our Magny-le-Hongre property, and we’re proud to embark on this journey with IHG Hotels & Resorts, a partner who shares our values and vision. Once doors open in 2026, Crowne Plaza Paris, Marne-la-Vallée will reflect our commitment to modern design and sustainability, to not only meet, but elevate, the guest experience in France.”
Magny-le-Hongre, known for its scenic landscapes and cultural heritage, offers visitors access to the Grand Morin hills and historic sites such as the 11th-century church of Sainte-Geneviève. The hotel’s proximity to Disneyland Paris makes it an ideal choice for families seeking convenience and comfort.
Crowne Plaza Paris – Marne-la-Vallée joins a European portfolio of over 90 open Crowne Plaza hotels and 17 in the pipeline, including upcoming launches in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Istanbul West, Türkiye. Globally, the Crowne Plaza brand boasts more than 400 properties, with a refreshed identity and guest experience designed to cater to the needs of blended travel.
The new signing also contributes to IHG’s broader footprint in France, which now includes 70 open hotels and 10 in development. Recent milestones include the debut of IHG’s Vignette Collection in Théoule-sur-Mer, further reinforcing the group’s commitment to growth in the region’s premium hospitality sector.
