IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Holiday Inn Siliguri, a 111-key hotel set to open in 2027, in partnership with Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts Private Limited, a joint venture between Kaysons Group, Sagar Group, and Golden Goenka Group. This strategic move reinforces IHG’s commitment to expanding its footprint in India’s high-potential secondary markets.
A Strategic Location with Cross-Border Appeal
Located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Siliguri is a vital commercial and transit hub connecting North-East India with Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Its growing prominence in trade, logistics, and MICE tourism makes it an ideal location for an international-branded hotel.
“Siliguri’s significance as a commercial and transit hub makes it an ideal location for us to open a hotel,” said Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “Holiday Inn Siliguri will be a key addition to our expanding network in India.”
Modern Design Meets Trusted Hospitality
Holiday Inn Siliguri will feature:
- 111 contemporary guest rooms
- Three dining venues offering diverse culinary experiences
- Two flexible meeting spaces tailored for MICE events
- A fitness centre for wellness-focused travellers
- The brand’s signature Open Lobby concept, designed as a seamless social hub for dining, working, and relaxing
Strategically located in Siliguri’s city centre, the hotel is poised to serve a wide spectrum of guests, from corporate travellers and event delegates to leisure tourists exploring the Himalayan foothills.
“We are proud to partner with IHG to bring the globally renowned Holiday Inn brand to Siliguri,” said the leadership team at Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts in a joint statement. “We are confident the hotel will redefine hospitality in the city.”
Expanding IHG’s India Portfolio
IHG currently operates 51 hotels across six brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, voco, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express. With 72 hotels in the pipeline, the group continues to invest in India’s evolving hospitality landscape.
