IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the Southeast Asia debut of its fast-growing midscale conversion brand, Garner, with the upcoming opening of Garner Hotel Pattaya Central. Developed in partnership with Nova Park Company Limited, the 153-key property is set to open later this year, marking a significant milestone in IHG’s expansion strategy across the region.
Launched in 2023, Garner has already grown to 51 open hotels across Japan, the US, and Germany, with 87 more in the pipeline. The brand is designed to offer relaxed, residential-style stays that prioritise comfort, convenience, and genuine human connection, ideal for guests seeking quality essentials over luxury.
A Strategic Addition to Pattaya’s Hospitality Landscape
Located in the heart of Pattaya, just an hour from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, Garner Hotel Pattaya Central will feature:
- Thoughtfully designed rooms and suites
- An all-day dining restaurant
- Swimming pool and fitness centre
- DIY laundry facilities
- The Garner Shop offering bean-to-cup coffee and snacks
“Thailand has historically been a launchpad for IHG brands in Southeast Asia,” said Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “This agreement strengthens our position in the mainstream segment and builds on our successful partnership with Nova Park Company Limited.”
Supporting Pattaya’s Growth and Tourism
Pattaya continues to thrive as a tourism hub and gateway to the Eastern Economic Corridor. The launch of Garner Hotel Pattaya Central complements ongoing developments in the city and reflects Nova Park’s commitment to enhancing the local hospitality offering.
“We’re offering guests a high-quality, distinct experience at a great price point,” said Eli Fineman, Director, Nova Group. “This hotel supports our vision for Pattaya’s future as a vibrant, accessible destination.”
Accelerating Growth Through Conversions
Quick-to-market conversions accounted for 57% of IHG’s global room openings in H1 2025, with Southeast Asia contributing significantly. Garner’s flexible model allows owners to tap into IHG’s enterprise systems and global distribution channels, driving performance and returns.
With three quarters of IHG’s system size in the mainstream segment, Garner’s arrival in Southeast Asia offers a compelling option for owners and travellers alike. The Pattaya property will be IHG’s fourth in the city, joining InterContinental Pattaya Resort, Holiday Inn Pattaya, and Holiday Inn Express Pattaya Central.
