IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a global leader in hospitality, has partnered with Peninsula Bay Investment Co., Ltd to reintroduce InterContinental Hotels & Resorts to Cambodia. The world’s first and largest international luxury hotel brand will return with the opening of InterContinental Sihanoukville in 2028, showing the growing appeal of Cambodia as a luxury travel destination.
A Landmark Development
The 300-room InterContinental Sihanoukville will set a new standard for hospitality in the region, offering dining venues, bespoke bars, a luxurious spa, and breathtaking coastal views to cater to both leisure and business travellers.
The hotel will be a central part of the Peninsula Bay Integrated Resort development, which contains hotels, retail outlets, and entertainment options across 160,000 square metres. The architectural design, inspired by the dragon symbolising good fortune and strength, will seamlessly combine modern aesthetics with traditional Cambodian culture.
Strategically located just 30 minutes from Sihanoukville International Airport, the property will provide easy access to some of the region’s key attractions, including Otres Beach, Ream National Park, and the Wat Leu Pagoda temple. With these highlights, guests will have a plethora of activities to suit every type of traveller.
