IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Madinah Al Haramain, a 383-key property set to open in 2026 in partnership with Arbah Tayba Real Estate Company. Strategically located opposite the new Haramain high-speed railway station, the hotel will offer direct underground access to the station, connecting guests effortlessly to Jeddah, Makkah, and other key cities.
A Gateway to Spiritual and Business Travel
The hotel is part of a larger mixed-use development and sits near major projects such as Knowledge Economic City and Rua Al Madinah, positioning it as a prime choice for both pilgrims and business travellers.
With two signature dining outlets, well-appointed rooms and suites, and Crowne Plaza’s hallmark blend of work-life integration, the property will deliver a contemporary stay experience just outside the city centre.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to Vision 2030 and to bringing trusted brands to Saudi Arabia,” said Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, IHG India, Middle East and Africa. “Crowne Plaza is designed to inspire connection, collaboration, and well-being, perfectly suited to Madinah’s diverse visitor base.”
Supporting Madinah’s Growth
As Madinah undergoes rapid transformation under Vision 2030, infrastructure and hospitality developments are central to its evolution as a spiritual and tourism hub. The new Crowne Plaza will contribute to this momentum, offering premium accommodation with direct transport access and a globally recognised brand experience.
“We’re proud to collaborate with IHG on a project that enhances access and elevates the guest journey,” said Abdulaziz Al Qafary, CEO of Arbah Tayba Real Estate Company.
IHG currently operates 45 hotels across six brands in Saudi Arabia, with 47 more in the pipeline over the next three to five year.
