The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality group, has announced a major expansion of its partnership with the Ambuja Neotia Group, signing an agreement to develop 15 new hotels across key destinations in West Bengal, Sikkim, and Himachal Pradesh. This capital-light arrangement will grow the collaboration to over 40 hotels, significantly enhancing IHCL’s luxury footprint in the East and North East.

Expanding the Luxury Itinerary
The new developments will include a mix of greenfield, brownfield, and conversion projects, with properties expected to come on stream over the next five years. Highlights include:
- Taj resorts in Darjeeling, Shimla, Rabong, and the Sunderbans
- SeleQtions hotels in Kolkata and Siliguri
- A Tree of Life retreat in Lataguri
- Taj-branded villas in Darjeeling, Sikkim, Lataguri, and Raichak
These additions will complement existing properties such as Taj Chia Kutir in Kurseong, further positioning IHCL as a leader in bespoke luxury travel.
