Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the signing of The Landmark Kanpur, set to become India’s second JdV by Hyatt hotel. Scheduled to open in early 2026, the 170-room property will be located in one of Kanpur’s most prestigious neighbourhoods and marks a major step in Hyatt’s continued expansion of its lifestyle brands across India.
Owned by Som Datt Landmark Hotels and Recreations Private Limited, The Landmark Kanpur will be thoughtfully restored to reflect the vibrant and independent spirit of the JdV by Hyatt brand. The hotel will feature a full-service spa, four food and beverage outlets, and versatile event spaces, including a striking 7,200 square foot lawn on the 21st floor, designed to cater to both business and leisure guests.
A New Chapter for Kanpur’s Hospitality Scene
The Landmark has long held the distinction of being Kanpur’s first and only five-star hotel. With this new partnership, the property will be reimagined to meet global standards while preserving its deep local roots. Guests can expect a contemporary experience that celebrates the essence of Kanpur through design, service, and community connection.
