Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to further expand its all-inclusive portfolio in the Dominican Republic with the upcoming Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana, a 406-room, adults-only luxury resort set to open in 2026. The development follows a new management agreement between a Hyatt affiliate and GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L., the current owner of Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana.
Strategically located on the pristine shores of Macao Beach, recognised by UNESCO as one of the Caribbean’s top beaches, the resort will offer a sophisticated retreat for adults, featuring a mix of Junior, Master, and Presidential Suites.
A Culinary and Wellness Paradise
Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana will boast nine globally inspired restaurants and nine bars, including a sports bar with full-service dining, a cigar lounge, and the signature Coco Café. A standout feature will be the farm-to-table restaurant nestled within an on-site organic garden, offering sustainable cuisine crafted from fresh regional ingredients. Preferred Club guests will enjoy exclusive access to a private dining venue with curated menus and elevated service.
The resort’s design will embrace natural aesthetics, creating a tranquil atmosphere that complements the surrounding beauty of Macao Beach. Guests will benefit from Hyatt’s Unlimited-Luxury inclusions, such as 24-hour room and concierge service, top-shelf spirits, daily entertainment, and pool and beach service.
Amenities and Access
The property will feature three pools, including a beach club-inspired main pool, an activity pool with panoramic ocean views, and a rooftop pool reserved for Preferred Club members. Guests will also enjoy reciprocal access to the adjacent Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, expanding their dining and amenity options. A convention center with capacity for up to 1,000 guests will cater to meetings and events in a serene beachfront setting.
Strategic Growth in the Caribbean
“The Dominican Republic continues to be a priority destination for our guests seeking adults-only, all-inclusive luxury experiences,” said Fernando Fernandez, vice president of development for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. “We’re thrilled to bring the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand to Macao Beach and deepen our relationship with GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L.”
This announcement follows recent openings of Secrets Playa Esmeralda and Dreams Playa Esmeralda in Miches, as well as Secrets and Dreams La Romana. Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection is also set to debut Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana in Q4 2025, further strengthening its presence in the region.
