IHG Hotels & Resorts has unveiled its newest UK flagship, Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, bringing the brand’s signature neighbourhood storytelling to one of London’s most design-forward districts. Located at 2 Clerkenwell Road, just five minutes from Farringdon Station, the hotel celebrates the area’s rich heritage in clockmaking, architecture, and craftsmanship.
The 143-room property is styled to evoke an architect’s studio, with blueprint-inspired headboards, cutting-mat desks, and clock-themed room numbers. Modern amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, espresso machines, Urban Apothecary toiletries, and flexible workspaces, designed to balance creativity with comfort.
Culinary Offerings Rooted in Local Culture
Guests can choose from three distinct dining venues:
- Wilderness Kitchen – Mediterranean-inspired, vegetarian-friendly cuisine using seasonal British produce
- Sabini Bar – A refined cocktail and coffee bar named after 1920s Clerkenwell figure Charles Sabini
- Hat and Feathers – A Grade II-listed Victorian pub offering traditional fare and local ales, complete with a “Dickens Corner”
The hotel’s food and beverage programme is crafted to reflect Clerkenwell’s culinary legacy and foster community connection.
Meetings, Events, and Exclusive Perks
Above the Hat and Feathers pub, two meeting rooms with period detailing and natural light accommodate up to 60 guests. The pub is also available for private hire. Guests booking online can enjoy a £40 food and beverage credit, and the Pet Getaway package ensures canine companions are welcomed with treats and in-room comforts.
“We’ve taken great care to restore and shape the property to reflect Clerkenwell’s creative legacy,” said Keith Davies, Owner. “We’re here to create memorable stays that connect our guests to the soul of Clerkenwell,” added James Olivier, General Manager.
With direct access to Heathrow and Gatwick via the Elizabeth Line and Thameslink, Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell is ideally placed for both business and leisure travellers. Rates start from £260 per night.
