Grand Hyatt Singapore has officially reopened following a sweeping multi-year transformation, unveiling a bold new identity as a Grand Living Room and Wellness Haven in the heart of Orchard Road. The reimagined 699-room property now offers a seamless blend of design, culture, gastronomy, wellbeing, and sustainability setting a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in Southeast Asia.
A Dual-Wing Experience: Urban Sophistication Meets Tropical Serenity
The hotel’s redesign introduces two distinct wings, each offering a unique guest experience. The Grand Wing, crafted by Tokyo-based Strickland, features 407 rooms and suites with open-concept layouts, plush sofa nooks, and striking Patagonia stone bathrooms. Peranakan-inspired accents and geometric motifs pay homage to Singapore’s layered heritage while anchoring the hotel’s modern elegance.
In contrast, the Terrace Wing, designed in collaboration with UK-based Grant Associates, immerses guests in a tranquil resort-like setting. Surrounded by koi ponds, cascading waterfalls, and lush greenery, its 292 nature-inspired guestrooms evoke the Japanese concept of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). Five exclusive Garden Studio Rooms open directly onto the wellness lawn and lap pool, offering a rare open-air escape in the city.
Elevated Living and Thoughtful Design
With one of the largest premium room inventories in Singapore, Grand Hyatt now boasts three Grand Presidential Suites tailored for private entertaining, alongside expanded connecting room configurations for families and multi-generational travellers. The relocated Grand Club lounge offers Club and suite guests a refined space for reflection, cultural exchange, and personalised service.
Culinary Renaissance: Seven Venues, One Bold Vision
The hotel’s culinary transformation is headlined by Le Pristine Singapore, the Southeast Asian debut of Michelin-starred Chef Sergio Herman. The 120-seat venue blends Italian cuisine with Zeeland soul, featuring signature dishes like Seafood Orecchiette and the Singapore-exclusive Pizzette King Chilli Crab.
Other highlights include:
- StraitsKitchen: A Halal-certified buffet celebrating Singaporean classics.
-
- Pete’s Place: A reimagined trattoria led by Chef Salvatore Catania, offering a Negroni Flight and chef’s table experience.
- Oasis: A breezy poolside retreat with fresh seafood and BBQ favourites.
- BRIX: A revitalised nightlife venue with live music and three distinct bar zones.
- 10|Scotts: A Mediterranean-inspired lounge ideal for social lunches and elegant afternoon teas.
- The Shop and Martini Bar: Offering refined retail, artisanal indulgences, and one of the city’s most extensive martini selections.
Damai: A New Standard in Urban Wellness
At the heart of the transformation is Damai, a comprehensive wellness destination combining science, ritual, and ancient wisdom. Guests can experience Mind Body Wellness Treatments enhanced by light therapy, vibration, and oceanic minerals, alongside Singapore’s only Mind Body Therapy Wall. Damai also houses Southeast Asia’s first HYROX training club and one of the city’s most expansive hotel fitness centres.
Sustainability at Scale
Grand Hyatt Singapore continues its legacy of environmental leadership, now operating on 100% renewable electricity. Innovations include:
- A closed-loop aquaponics system converting food waste into fish feed and rooftop garden fertiliser.
- Carbon tracking per dish via Wisefins and zero-waste cooking practices.
- RFID-enabled laundry systems and a contactless WasteMaster setup.
- An in-house water bottling plant eliminating single-use plastic bottles.
A New Chapter Begins

With its visionary redesign, Grand Hyatt Singapore redefines urban luxury, offering guests a deeply immersive experience that celebrates culture, wellbeing, and sustainability in equal measure.
