Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of Accor’s global luxury portfolio, has officially opened the doors to Fairmont Tokyo, its first property in Japan. Located in the heart of the newly developed BLUE FRONT SHIBAURA district, the hotel spans the upper floors (35–43) of Tower South, offering panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and Tokyo Tower.
Just minutes from Haneda Airport, Tokyo Station, and Shinagawa Station, the hotel provides seamless access to the city’s cultural landmarks, including the historic Zojoji Temple and the tranquil canals and gardens of Shibaura.
A Warm Welcome with a Local Touch
Guests are greeted by Serene, the hotel’s Labrador Retriever and “Chief Happiness Officer,” in the ground-floor lobby before ascending to the 35th-floor sky lobby—an airy, plant-filled space with outdoor terraces that reflect the duality of Tokyo’s serenity and energy.
Culinary Excellence Across Seven Venues
Fairmont Tokyo features seven distinctive dining and drinking venues, including:
- Kiln & Tonic: Wood-fired pizzas and grilled seafood with Tokyo Tower views
- Vue Mer: French-Japanese café culture with bay-facing terraces
- Migiwa & Totsuji: Reimagined sushi and teppanyaki
- DRIFTWOOD: Elevated Yoshoku cuisine with seasonal flair
- Yoi to Yoi: Japanese street food and highballs
- OFF RECORD: A secret listening bar with vinyl, rare spirits, and soulful bites
Wellness, Design & Signature Experiences
Guests can unwind at the Fairmont Spa, 20-metre indoor infinity pool, and 24-hour gym. The hotel’s 217 rooms and suites, including 29 suites, feature floor-to-ceiling windows and interiors inspired by traditional Japanese “engawa” spaces. Signature suites include bespoke furnishings and curated art.
The Fairmont Gold experience offers a hotel-within-a-hotel concept, with private check-in, lounge access, and personalised services.
A New Social Epicentre for Tokyo
With one of Tokyo’s largest ballrooms and rooftop venues like THE SEA and THE SKY, Fairmont Tokyo is poised to host everything from grand galas to intimate weddings.
Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, shared: “Fairmont Tokyo blends thoughtful innovation with the spirit of omotenashi, Japan’s deeply rooted hospitality philosophy. It’s more than a hotel; it’s a cultural gathering place.”
Karan Singh, General Manager, added: “We’re proud to open Japan’s first Fairmont in the dynamic Shibaura district. Together with our ‘Heartists’ and Serene, we’re creating a destination that connects people and culture through warmth and authenticity.”
With this opening, Fairmont strengthens its presence in Asia, joining properties in Singapore, Seoul, Jakarta, and Jaipur, with more to come in Hanoi, Bangkok, and New Orleans.
