Cloudbeds, a leading AI-powered hospitality platform, has announced its partnership in h2c’s newly released 2025 Global Study titled “AI & Automation in Hospitality: Navigating Today’s Challenges, Shaping Tomorrow’s Gains.”
The report offers a comprehensive look at the state of artificial intelligence and automation across the global hotel industry, drawing insights from 189 survey responses and 26 executive interviews representing 171 hotel chains, over 11,000 properties, and 1.3 million rooms worldwide.
AI Adoption Accelerates Across the Industry
The study reveals that 78% of hotel chains are already utilizing AI technologies, with 89% planning to expand their applications within the next 12 to 24 months. Chatbots currently lead the way in implementation (42%), while customer data management is expected to dominate future expansion (50%).
Strategic Gaps and Barriers to Scale
Despite the surge in adoption, only 6% of hotel chains report having a comprehensive AI strategy. Key barriers include a lack of expertise (62%), unclear strategic direction (51%), and integration challenges (45%). These gaps highlight the need for more cohesive planning and execution to fully leverage AI’s potential.
High-Value Applications Identified
Respondents identified business intelligence (78%) and guest communication (77%) as the most valuable current uses of AI. Looking ahead, personalization and upselling are expected to drive future initiatives, signaling a shift toward more tailored and revenue-focused guest experiences.
Cloudbeds’ Commitment to Innovation
Adam Harris, CEO of Cloudbeds, emphasized the importance of integration and clarity in AI deployment: “The study confirms what we see daily: adoption is rising, but integration and clarity are the roadblocks. We are focused on solving both by turning fragmented data into an organizational-wide asset and transforming systems of record into systems of action.”
Cloudbeds’ involvement in the study reflects its dedication to empowering hoteliers with technology that streamlines operations, enhances revenue, and strengthens guest relationships.
Industry-Wide Collaboration
Supported by 15 global IT vendors, the report represents a significant collaborative effort to advance the hospitality sector’s understanding and use of AI. Through its partnership with h2c, Cloudbeds reinforces the value of shared knowledge and strategic alignment in navigating today’s challenges and unlocking future opportunities.
This landmark study sets the stage for a more connected, intelligent, and guest-centric hospitality industry.
