Hospitality software leader Actabl has officially launched HotelData.com, a free resource hub designed to equip hotel owners, operators, and investors with actionable benchmarks and planning tools. The platform draws on aggregated data from thousands of U.S. hotels to deliver real-time insights into labour costs, revenue performance, and profit margins, offering a more dynamic alternative to traditional budgeting methods.
A Smarter Way to Plan
HotelData.com’s inaugural release, the 2025–2026 Budget Planning Guide, reveals key trends shaping the industry:
- Labour costs rose by an average of 6.6% year-on-year, with CPOR ranging from $26.29 for extended stay properties to $123.60 for resorts
- RevPAR underperformed budget expectations in H1 2025 ($105.12 actual vs. $123.89 budgeted)
- ADR held relatively steady ($186.14 actual vs. $191.35 budgeted)
- Despite softer demand, GOP margins remained strong at 37.7%, nearly matching the budgeted 37.8%, with forecasts rising to 39.3% in H2 2025
“HotelData.com’s mission is to empower the people who power hospitality,” said Sarah McCay Tams, Head of Editorial at Actabl. “We’re helping hoteliers move beyond guesswork and outdated benchmarks with clear, timely insights they can trust.”
Built for Today’s Hospitality Landscape
The platform is designed to support ongoing decision-making, not just annual planning. By offering updated market data, HotelData.com helps hoteliers validate assumptions, optimise staffing, and adjust pricing strategies in response to economic headwinds.
“In an environment where volatility is the norm, HotelData.com provides the clarity and context needed to plan with confidence,” added Josiah Mackenzie, Head of Marketing at Actabl.
Actabl plans to expand the platform with quarterly updates, labour productivity trends, and special analyses on regulatory and economic shifts.
