After more than a decade as one of the city’s most iconic lifestyle hotels, 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin has reopened with a striking new look, courtesy of Studio Aisslinger. The redesign reimagines the hotel’s signature “urban jungle” concept, blending raw Berlin grit with lush greenery and analogue charm.
A Dual-Perspective Design
The hotel’s unique location between the Tiergarten and City West continues to shape its identity. The revamped guestrooms now feature beds positioned to maximise views of either the park or the city skyline.
In the Large Rooms, guests will find a timber-framed capsule library, offering a cosy retreat for reading and reflection. These “conversation pits” and reading nooks are designed to encourage non-digital experiences, reinforcing the brand’s connection to tactile, analogue living.
Public Spaces with Personality
Studio Aisslinger preserved the hotel’s split design language:
- The Jungle Lounge, overlooking the zoo, features hammocks and woven rattan seating
- The Nomad Bar, facing the city, uses stacked red bricks and raw materials to evoke Berlin’s post-war improvisational style
The third floor now houses a co-working lounge with MOROSO-designed furniture, a community table, and flexible workspaces that transition into a wine bar by evening.
Sustainability and Sensory Detail
The renovation also introduced sustainable materials such as cork, upcycled Kaldewei elements, and mirrored surfaces that reflect the surrounding cityscape and greenery. Bathrooms were redesigned with Bluetooth-enabled bathtubs and integrated lighting systems.
With its refreshed interiors, analogue sanctuaries, and immersive public spaces, 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin remains a creative hub true to its roots, yet ready for the next chapter.
