Design has been a calling rather than a profession for Hakan Ozkasikci, the mastermind behind local, sustainable designs of new Kerzner destinations. With over 25 years of experience in 36 countries across the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe, Hakan brings together Kerzner’s hallmarks of impeccable, luxury materials and attention to detail into every exceptional built environment, infusing each project with local materials, culture and visual expression.

Hakan specializes in architecture, interior design, branding, conversion, and sustainability. He approaches each project with a unique perspective, incorporating local culture and values to create a balance of comfort, simplicity, and luxury. Hakan has played a pivotal role in the development of SIRO Hotels, Rare Finds, Atlantis Resorts & Residences, and One&Only Resorts and Private Homes.

Before joining Kerzner International, Hakan worked as a consultant designer and architect. He led the design and development efforts for Intercontinental Hotels Group in Europe and later joined Aman, where he oversaw the design of the brand’s iconic sites while preserving their natural beauty.

Beyond this, Hakan frequently speaks at international events as a keynote speaker and moderator. Hakan holds a master’s degree from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, focusing on sustainable design models for the hospitality industry. He is a member of prestigious organizations such as the Turkish Chamber of Architects, the International Design Management Institute (DMI), and the Ashford Institute Alumni.

In his spare time, Hakan pursues his long-held interests in classic motorcycles and experimental cooking.
